Nashville Hot Chicken Chips Are Spicing Things Up at Aldi

These Nashville Hot Chicken Chips are sure to spice up your winter!

Aldi’s original flavors are part of what keeps us coming back to comb the Aldi Finds aisles, and potato chips are one of the places where Aldi likes to innovate. In recent months, we have enjoyed Queso Fundido, Dill Pickle, and Thai Curry flavored chips.

That’s why we were so excited to find out that a new, fun potato chip flavor will be coming back to Aldi soon!

Nashville Hot Chicken Chips are coming to Aldi in June

These Nashville Hot Chicken chips are sold under the Clancy’s brand name. Aldi promises these kettle chips will be “loud and spicy.”

So what do these Aldi chips taste like?

Nashville Hot Chicken is usually marinated in buttermilk, dredged in seasoned flour, and fried. Traditional Hot Chicken is then coated in a spice paste made of lard and cayenne pepper, and maybe garlic and sugar, depending on where you’re getting it.

The fried chicken is usually served on white bread with dill pickles.

So it’s safe to say these chips are spicy.

These Nashville Hot Chicken chips were first introduced in June 2020. and they due back in Aldi stores January 20 (Jan. 17 in stores with a Sunday ad switchover).

Another chip flavor from last June — Cuban Sandwich Chips — will hit the shelves at the same time. Which will you try first?
