A taste of a New England in a lobster roll dip? Yes, please!
Spring shopping is returning to Aldi stores, as we see an increase in seafood products for Lent, St. Patrick’s Day themed food and drink, and gardening and travel merchandise in the Aisle of Shame. Here’s a look at your must-haves for the week:
Park Street Deli Lobster Roll Dip
We spotted the 12-ounce container of Lobster Roll Dip in the refrigerator case that houses limited-time Aldi Finds in our store. While some traditional lobster rolls have straight-up butter-bathed meat, lemon juice and salt and pepper, we’re assuming this dip leans more toward the versions that include mayonnaise. (This writer’s shellfish allergy prevented us from buying and trying this one!) It is priced at $3.99 in our store (food prices do vary by Aldi store).
Carnitas Seasoned Boneless Pork Shoulder Roast
Members of our Aldi Aisle of Shame Facebook Group have been raving about this marinated pork roast. We finally saw it in our store and cooked one in the slow cooker to use for packing lunches this week. It’s tender and flavorful, and we definitely recommend, if you see them in your store.
Gardenline Mixed Spring Bulbs
Gardening items are returning to the Aldi Aisle of Shame, including these spring bulb collections. We saw Dahlias, Lillies, Gladiolas and other floral varieties at our store.
8″ Hydrangea
Hydrangeas in 8-inch pots will also be available at some Aldi locations this week, and you may spot berry bushes, ornamental shrubs and flowering trees, too.
Gardenline Hummingbird Feeder
Speaking of the great outdoors, you will find a collection of bird feeding supplies in the Aisle of Shame this week, as well. This Gardenline Hummingbird Feeder holds 8 ounces of nectar and is priced at $6.99.
Clancy’s Cheese Balls
Cheese balls are a popular snack, and they only come around at Aldi on a seasonal basis. They are available now, so stock up in you are a cheese ball lover! These are priced at $1.99 per 12-ounce bag at our store (food prices vary by store).
Kids Rolling Suitcases
These rolling suitcases for kids come decorated with characters from Frozen, Baby Shark, Marvel, Paw Patrol or Trolls. They have in-line skate wheels and are easy for kiddos to roll around. These are priced at $16.99 — a steal in our comparison shopping.
Skylite Weekender Totes or Duffles
If you’re in the market for a new travel bag, don’t overlook these duffles and totes in the Aisle of Shame this week. We find them to be great quality, and they are less than $20 each.
Skylite 3-Piece Packing Cubes or Cosmetic Organizers
This week’s travel collection also includes these folding cosmetic organizers and coordinating 3-piece packing cube sets. We can’t say enough good things about the quality of the cosmetic organizer — ours has been heavily used for two years now and held up beautifully. These are priced at $6.99. We’ve seen comparable cosmetic bags priced near the $30 mark.
Emporium Selection Irish Cheese
There are two Emporium Selection cheese collections available at Aldi right now for St. Patrick’s Day. The truckle cheeses include this Aged Irish Cheddar, Irish Cheddar with Irish Beer, and Irish Cheddar with Irish Whiskey. There are also two “green cheeses” – a Pesto Gouda and a Sage Derby.
Barissimo Coffee Favorites Variety Pack
One thing we probably don’t mention enough about Aldi is the wide variety of Fair Trade Certified coffee sold at reasonable prices. This new Coffee Favorites Variety Pack includes 48 single-serve cups in eight flavors for $13.99.
Serra Ladies 2-Pack Soft Leggings
The leggings at Aldi get rave reviews, and there are some new 2-packs out this week as part of an athleisure collection. These are available in several neutral colors and the print shown here in sizes S-XL. You will also find “no muffin top” undies, camisoles, socks, and pullovers this week.
Park Street Deli Flavored Hummus
Park Street Deli Hummus is an Aldi staple for many of us, and these new varieties have us dipping like crazy. The Pickle was already sold out at our store, but there are also Carmelized Onion and Garlic Dill flavors available.
Tropical Foilage
It’s hard for many of us to resist the houseplants at Aldi, and these tropical foilage pots are bringing a touch of spring indoors for us all. These are priced at $4.99.
Huntington Home 3-Wick Candles
The Aldi candle lovers among us may say we buried the lead, but we prefer to think we saved the best for last. Just look at these new 3-wick candle scents Aldi is bringing us! They include Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Lemon Thyme & Sage, Easter Basket, and Peach Mimosa. It’s safe to say that at $3.99 each, all of these will be going in our cart soon.
