What States Have No Aldi?

Currently, there are no Aldi stores in the following states;

  • Idaho
  • Washington
  • Montana
  • Oregon
  • Wyoming
  • Nevada
  • Colorado
  • Utah
  • New Mexico
  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Maine

Aldi was mainly focused on expanding inwards rather than outwards. It explains why there are many new stores in places like Chicago and Florida that already have numerous stores. This is because of the already existing distribution network; hence, adding stores to the existing pipelines is more manageable than building new ones.

However, Aldi is working on expanding to the above states, with its 38th one recently opened in Louisiana, on 10th February 2022.

Aldi Stores Coming Soon

Aldi has plans to open two more Gulf Coast stores in early March and 20 more by the end of 2022.

It also plans to open 150 new stores in the US by the end of this year. It currently has plans to add five more stores in Florida and three in Arizona. Check out the grand opening for Aldi stores in various states here.

Aldi will also open a 564,000-sq-ft regional distribution center in Loxley, Alabama, by the end of 2022, which will support more than 100 Lousiana, Mississippi, and Alabama stores.

  1. I live in Kalispell, MT and like many areas in MT, there’s an tremendous amount of growth here. We’re also unique in that we have a lot of Canadians who travel to Montana to shop and the first city with any real shopping they hit is Kalispell. We have NO discount shopping here and, with housing prices going through the roof, we need a more reasonably priced place to shop. I’ve been to your stores in western NY and I know the folks here would LOVE to have an Aldi’s. Please consider our area for expansion.

    Thank you,
